January 9 - Monster

This crime drama movie has a scene that happens today – January 9. I hope you will enjoy this film and watch it tonight.

MONSTER

One day prostitute Aileen Wuornos stumbles into a gay bar in Florida and meets Selby Wall.  Their relationship develops slowly. Then a john tries to kill Aileen, but she escapes and kills him. Aileen and Selby run off together. Aileen tries to stop being a hooker, but she can’t get a regular job. She has to go back to being a prostitute, but she kills the john instead after he assaults her. Aileen and Selby sexually consummate their relationship. They get an apartment together. Aileen keeps killing men and using the money to support the two of them. Selby starts to suspect Aileen is involved in the killings. Selby goes back to her father in Ohio.  The police have been investigating. On January 9, 1991 [1:29:26 to 1:36:22] Aileen is arrested. Aileen is convicted of murder, sentenced to death and executed.

A tough, gritty biography. Theron does give a outstanding performance as a monster. She deserved her Oscar.
