Today’s action movie has a scene that happens today –
January 28. I hope you like this film and watch it tonight.
THE MECHANIC
Arthur Bishop is a contract
hitman who was mentored by Harry McKenna. Bishop is told by Dean, the head of
the organization that hires and pays the hitmen that he needs to kill McKenna,
who betrayed a hit that was set in Cape Town to the authorities. Bishop
reluctantly takes the job and kills Harry. Bishop meets Harry’s son, Steve and
starts to train him as a hitman. Steve carries out an assignment, but poorly. Together
Bishop and Steve kill a cult leader. Bishop sees one of the hitmen supposedly
killed in the Cape Town job and learns Dean was the one who actually betrayed
the hit. Bishop kills the hitmen Dean sends to kill him. Steve finds his dad’s gun at Bishop’s house
and realizes Bishop killed his father. Bishop and Steve together manage to kill
Dean. On January 28, 2011 Steve sets off a bomb at a gas station while Bishop
sits in his truck. Returning to Bishop’s house Steve takes the 1966 Jaguar
Bishop had been restoring. Then Steve sees a note that says if he’s reading
this he’s dead and the car blows up. Bishop actually avoided the bomb at the
gas station and drives away. [1:19:31 to 1:26:24]
Plenty of action here. Good at building suspense. Keeps those plot
twists coming. But you know I like it
because it was released on the day of the gas station explosion.
Date given at 1:25:45 on the gas station security
cameras.
