TUESDAYS WITH MORRIE
Morrie Schwartz is retired professor who enjoys life until he develops Lou Gehrig’s disease. Mitch Albom, a former of student of his has become an overworked sportwriter who ignores his beautiful, talented girlfriend Janine. Then Mitch sees Morrie on Nightline and goes to see him. Janine leaves Mitch over his failure to commit. Morrie tells Mitch about his mother’s death and how his father ignored him, but that his step-mother gave him love and introduced him to education. Mitch works to try to get Janine back, culminating with writing her a letter with a marriage proposal. Janine, intrigued by the change in Mitch goes with him to see Morrie. Mitch proposes again to Janine and she accepts. Then on November 4, 1995 [1:26:34 to 1:26:55] they get word that Morrie has died.
