June 1 - Bill and Ted's Bogus Journey

Today’s movie is a comedy with a scene that happens on June 1. Watch and enjoy.

BILL AND TED’S BOGUS JOURNEY

Chuck De Nomolos, who hates the utopian future created by the music of Bill and Ted’s band the Wyld Stallions, travels to the past with two robots that look like Bill and Ted to keep them from winning the San Dimas Battle of the Bands. The two robots replace Bill and Ted by the simple expedient of killing them and set out to destroy their chances of winning the contest. Death challenges Bill and Ted to a game for their souls, but loses when the boys choose Battleship, Clue and Twister as the field of contest. With Death now their servant the boys travel to heaven, where Station builds good duplicate robots of the boys. They return to the present, where Station’s robots defeat the evil ones. The boys defeat De Nomolos and use the time booth to put in sixteen months of intensive guitar lessons as well as marry their girlfriends and start families. Due to the inadvertent machinations of De Nomolos, the Wyld Stallions win the contest and their music is broadcast worldwide. This leads to universal peace and harmony as the band’s fame increases and they play at larger venues, as for example on June 1, 2001 [1:25:44 – 1:25:53] when the London Times announces the band is to play at Wembley Stadium.

The date is given in the film at 1:25:48.
